Bixler is the first German Shepherd Dog I raised of my own, and really my best friend in this world.                   

Layla is my 2nd German Shepherd Dog, I rescued her when she was 6 months old, she was found                 wondering around a parking lot.  She is blind (presumably born that way)  but she is definitely not                handicapped, she is one fiesty little girl.                

They might be "just pets" but I wouldn't trade them for the worlds greatest Schutzhund dog :-)
